A passion for innovation has brought a slice of Silicon Valley to South Florida.
Parkland couple Isai Damier and Annalise Joseph Damier recently launched Xai Robotics, a state-of-the-art tech startup located at 5679 Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs.
With a mission to inspire and equip the next generation of engineers and creators, Xai Robotics offers hands-on robotics and STEM workshops for pre-teens and teens.
Both Isai and Annalise bring a wealth of expertise to their venture. Isai, a former Google and Meta engineer, has an impressive background in artificial intelligence, aerospace, and nuclear industries.
Annalise, complements his technical expertise with a drive to create meaningful learning experiences for children. The couple relocated from Silicon Valley to Parkland during the COVID-19 pandemic, attracted by its family-friendly environment and excellent schools.
“We wanted to bring the innovative spirit of Silicon Valley here, providing kids with the tools to succeed in a tech-driven future,” she said.
The couple living in Watercrest has two children attending Parkland schools: Asher and Xander. Asher is in the gifted program and STEAM at Park Trails Elementary, where he is in second grade and taking third-grade math. Xander excels in speech and debate and is in the GEM and GEARS programs at Westglades Middle School.
The pair want to redefine how students engage with science, technology, engineering, and math. Participants explore mechanical design, electronics, coding, and artificial intelligence through real-world, project-based learning.
Unlike traditional classrooms, Xai Robotics emphasizes personalized, mastery-based learning. Students progress at their own pace under the mentorship of seasoned engineers with industry experience.
The facility also mirrors the cutting-edge workspaces of Silicon Valley.
“We wanted to recreate the collaborative and innovative atmosphere of a Google office,” Isai explained. “We’ve designed a space that feels like home but inspires creativity and innovation.”
Xai Robotics offers various membership options to cater to students’ interests and schedules. From basic classes that teach foundational robotics to advanced workshops for aspiring engineers, each program encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
According to Isai, students use professional-grade tools to design, build, and test their creations, learning to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success.
“Our goal is to create innovators,” Annalise said. “We want kids to take what they learn and turn their own ideas into reality.”
Since opening its doors in June 2024 with a summer program, Xai Robotics has attracted families across South Florida, including Miami, Weston, and Boca Raton.
According to Isai, the demand for hands-on robotics education has been high, with parents eager to provide their children with a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
“We’re preparing kids to be creators in the next wave of technology. Robotics and AI are the future, and we want to make sure our community is ahead of the curve.”
