
High School Seniors Grace Pulsifer and Mia Espino. {MSD Volleyball}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with an appearance in the Big Eight Tournament along with several wins and senior night.
The Eagles qualified for the tournament, which featured the top eight teams in Broward County, and entered as the seventh seed. However, they fell to Cypress Bay High School in the opening round for the second time this season before bouncing back with a 25-10, 25-11, 25-15 win over South Plantation High School on Thursday.
MSD played three matches in its final week of the regular season, beginning with a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The Eagles responded with a three-set victory over Coral Glades on Tuesday, winning 25-19, 26-24, 25-18.
The Eagles then celebrated Senior Night on Wednesday against Charles W. Flanagan High School, recognizing Grace Pulsifer and Mia Espino before picking up a four-set victory.
MSD finished the regular season with a 12-8 record and will compete in the District Tournament after making it to the final a year ago.Â
