Marjory Stoneman Douglas Girls Volleyball Continues Strong Start With 2 More Wins

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls volleyball team continued its strong start to the season with a pair of wins, highlighted by a terrific comeback against Pembroke Pines Charter.

After taking the first two sets against the Jaguars, the Eagles dropped the next two and fell behind 14-10 in the deciding fifth set. However, for the second time this season, MSD fought off at least three match points and rallied for a 16-14 victory to earn its fourth win of the year.

Caroline Rostock stepped up to serve with the Eagles trailing by four and helped MSD win the final six points to complete the comeback.

MSD followed that performance with another victory on Thursday, defeating Parkridge Christian High School in four sets. After dropping the opening set, the Eagles responded by winning the next three to improve to 6-2 this season.

Next, MSD will play Norland High School on Monday, September 14, at 3:30 p.m. The Vikings enter the matchup with a 5-6 record.
