Broward County’s Office of Regional Communications and Technology has scheduled a technology upgrade to the Broward County Regional Communications system on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
The work will take place between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. During that time, callers may experience difficulties reaching the county’s non-emergency number, (954) 764-HELP (4357).
As an alternative, residents are advised to call 954-749-5300 if they are unable to connect to the regular non-emergency line.
BSO emphasized that in a life-threatening emergency, residents should always call 911.
