Congregation Kol Tikvah of Parkland announced on Wednesday that Justin Pollack would join the congregation as the new Executive Director starting on March 13.
Temple President Andrew Rader shared this news in a letter to fellow congregants, who stated the committee was determined to find someone who was an “excellent administrator, a team player, and most importantly, a warm, helpful and friendly face.”
After nearly a year of searching and interviewing dozens of candidates nationwide, the committee found the perfect fit in Pollack.
According to Rader, Pollack brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as a Religious School Educator and as the Regional Program Director at BBYO. He also worked at the Jewish Federation of Broward County.
Pollack has an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Master of Arts in Jewish Liberal Studies from Hebrew College.
He and his wife Lindsay have two children, Caleb and Sam.
Rader said, “Congregants and Early Childhood Center parents already know Pollack from his prior roles, and all speak very highly of him.”
The search for a new Executive Director was headed by Nina Gordon and Alan Rosen, with the assistance of Barbara Feller, Bob Hersh, Sydney Berlin, Yael Hurwitz-Lange, and Rader.
In his letter, Rader also expressed gratitude to Bob Hersh, who served as Interim Executive Director during the search process.
“His guidance and wisdom provided the committee with the time and stability needed to find the right person for the job.”
