A local group is inviting Parkland teens to volunteer and improve the lives of children.
The Friendship Circle of North Broward and South Palm Beach Teen Kick-Off 2023 event takes place on Sunday, August 27, at 6:00 p.m. at the Friendship Circle headquarters at 7170 Loxahatchee Road.
The Teen Kickoff is a free-to-attend event for all 8th – 12th graders interested in becoming volunteers dedicated to supporting families of children with special needs.
Teens can participate in a tie-dye shirt-making workshop, waffle bar, and volunteer training to learn more about community service.
The Friendship Circle is an organization that pairs volunteers with children and teenagers with special needs to ensure all children work together to make others feel embraced, accepted, and celebrated for their individuality.
Teens or parents of teens interested in becoming a volunteer may visit the Friendship Circle’s official website to RSVP for the event or reach out to the Friendship Circle office by calling 954-970-9551 or emailing FloridaFriendshipCircle@gmail.com.
