The Montalto family hopes to ‘egg’ceed their goal of 18,000 eggs delivered for this year’s Egg My Lawn event in honor of their daughter, Gina, a victim of the mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018.
Gina Montalto loved children and the thrill of the egg hunt on Easter morning, which is why her family is holding the seventh annual ‘Egg My Lawn’ Parkland & North Coral Springs Neighborhood event.
The Egg My Lawn Fundraiser supports the Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation, Inc.
High grades and school involvement were a huge part of Gina’s life. She always looked for ways to help others. To honor Gina’s memory, the Foundation helps students with the cost of post-secondary education and makes charitable donations to causes Gina supported.
Money raised from Egg My Lawn will keep Gina’s light shining by helping others reach their potential.
‘Easter Bunnies’ will deliver a combination of candy and toy-filled plastic eggs to participating homes on Saturday, March 30, the evening before Easter.
This year, families can either have their eggs delivered in a bag for them to hide or have the ‘Bunnies’ place/hide the eggs in their front lawn for them.
Delivery will be between 8 p.m. and midnight. ‘Bunnies’ ask that sprinklers be turned off that night and that all pets be leashed and crated during delivery.
‘Bunnies’ will also leave a sign on the lawn to let neighbors know of the generous support to the Foundation.
