The Humane Society of Broward County is currently home to two special animals who are eager to find their forever families. If you’re searching for a playful companion, Rocky and Angel could be just what you’re looking for.
Rocky
At just seven months old, Rocky is a growing pup with an abundance of energy. Weighing in at 45 pounds, this playful boy loves nothing more than running around with toys. He’s intelligent, affectionate, and always eager for attention. His ideal family would enjoy fun-filled activities and is ready to embrace his lively spirit.
While Rocky has not lived with other pets before, a meet-and-greet is recommended for potential adopters with dogs. This step ensures everyone is comfortable before making Rocky a permanent family member.
Angel
If you’re more of a cat person, then Angel could be your match. At 1 ½ years old and weighing just 6 ½ pounds, this petite feline may be a bit shy initially, but with time and patience, she blossoms into an affectionate playmate. Angel enjoys running around with toys and gets along well with other cats, making her a great addition to anyone with feline friends. She thrives on attention and loves getting pets, so be sure you have the time to spoil this beautiful kitty.
How to Adopt
To meet Rocky (ID 687309), Angel (ID 687651), or any other adoptable pets, complete a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com.
Once the application is submitted, you can visit the Humane Society of Broward County at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale. Adoption kennels are open daily from 11 a.m.; no appointment is necessary.
If adopting isn’t possible right now, but you still want to help, donations can be made online. The shelter also offers a Pet Boutique, where you can spoil your pets with fun goodies. Additionally, the shelter provides microchipping and vaccines for pets—just visit their website to learn more about these services.
