The Parkland baseball community is coming together in support of one of its own: Coach Todd-Fitz-Gerald and his wife Colleen, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.
The diagnosis has dramatically changed daily life for the family, shifting their focus to hospital visits, complex medical decisions, and navigating an uncertain road ahead. Colleen is a wife and a mother to their two sons, Devin and Hunter, both graduates of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, and both playing professional baseball.
Now, as she begins treatment, the entire family is facing significant emotional and financial strain with medical expenses, specialized care, travel for treatment, time away from work, and everyday living costs are quickly adding up.
In response, the MSD Eagles have organized a GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial burden so the family can focus on Colleen’s health and healing, and on spending meaningful time together. For more information or to support the family, visit the GoFundMe page.
