
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Football. {Allyson Lake}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas football team capped off its spring season with a game against J.P. Taravella on Thursday, and two players signed to compete in college.
The Eagles beat the Trojans 21-7, thanks to rushing touchdowns by Jonah Lenamon and Keegan Lake. Jaxon Anger also threw a touchdown pass to Nick Brown. MSD is coming off a season in which it went 1-9 and had its only win against Coral Springs High School.
They will head into the 2025 season, beginning with a matchup against Cypress Bay High School on August 21. They are currently scheduled to play Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Coral Springs High School, and Coral Springs Charter. They will play on the road against Cooper City, Boyd H. Anderson, Coral Glades, Spanish River, and Coconut Creek High School.
The Eagles also recently signed two players: Dylan Shinn, who attends Weber University, and Trisamu Burchell, who signed with Westminster Academy. Shin plays on special teams and serves as the punter, while Burchell is a defensive back.
