Marjory Stoneman Douglas Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps ended their season in style, winning the State Championship on Dec. 3.
Not only did the Eagles JROTC have three teams qualify for the first time in school history, but the Mixed Team finished first overall.
There were five events, with the first being a 5k team run. Students were timed until the last member crossed the line. The second event was litter carry, where members took turns carrying the litter for one mile while teams had to form a bridge until the last person on the team crossed. The fourth event was the tire flip, and the fifth was an obstacle course.
