The Parkland Pokers 13U team is buzzing with excitement as they prepare for their spring season tryouts, and former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Derek Andersen, the team’s manager, is eager to see what talent the tryouts bring.
Get ready to show off your skills on the first day of tryouts, Tuesday, December 13, from 7 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., at Pine Trails Park, Field D. Andersen and his coaching staff will put the players through a series of drills and scrimmages, evaluating their abilities and potential.
Tryouts continue on Thursday, December 15, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 17, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. The Spring season begins in mid-January and runs through mid-May.
When the spring season begins, the team will hit the ground running, practicing multiple times a week and competing in league games and tournaments.
