Both the Marjory Stoneman Douglas boys and girls lacrosse team waited until the playoffs to have their most dominating victories this season.
Boys
Boys lacrosse defeated West Boca Raton High School 23-2. Ty Stevens scored a game-high six goals, while freshman sensation Darren Edenbaum had five and recorded three assists.
Preston Gerena recorded a hat-trick as well as a pair of assists. Austin Horwitz and Ryan Spallina also each scored three goals.
They will move on to the District Final and play Boca Raton High School on Thursday, April 15 at 6 p.m. Boca Raton comes in with ten wins in 16 games this year.
Girls
Girls lacrosse defeated Spanish River High School 22-7. Sammy Fisher and Carli Fleisher combined to score 15 goals, while Lauren Figas was completely dominant in the face-off circle.
MSD will also Boca Raton in the finals, but on Wednesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. This year, they are undefeated with a 13-0 record following their win versus Park Vista High School.
