All Marjory Stoneman Douglas graduate Roman Anthony needed was a week in the big leagues before he hit his first big-league home run with the Boston Red Sox.
It came in the first road game for Anthony, homering to right-center field in Seattle against the Mariners. A day after the Red Sox traded away their all-star third basemen, Anthony was slotted into the third spot in the lineup and homered against Logan Gilbert.
The 2023 graduate from MSD hit 15 home runs with the Eagles. Before being called up to the major leagues, Anthony had 10 home runs this year and 42 in his minor league career. Anthony previously had his first big league hit in his second game against Ryan Pepiot. He currently has four RBIs in his first game playing for a team that is now 38-36 this season.
