Griffin Haynes. {MSD Track and Field}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas track and field team competed at the Regional meet at Miramar Ansin Sports Complex, recording several top-10 finishes against strong competition.
Griffin Haynes led the boys team with a sixth-place finish in the javelin, while Avi Gabbay placed eighth in the high jump. On the girls side, Alexis Freckleton finished seventh in the long jump and also ran on the 4×800 relay team alongside Cecilia Gago, Olympia Koumoutsakis, and Sparta Koumoutsakis, which placed eighth overall.
On the track, Alexys Caropreso finished 10th in the 800 meters, while Emiliana Anzures and Isabella Bayarri placed 12th in the 1600 meters and 13th in the 400 meters, respectively.
