Former 2019 Marjory Stoneman Douglas graduate Hunter Fitz-Gerald was officially named to the Florida College System Activities Association All-State Team.
The son of MSD’s varsity coach, Todd Fitz-Gerald, Hunter played his second season with Florida Southwestern in Fort Myers. He finished tied for first with 10 home runs while driving in 48 runs which ranked second. Hunter hit .359 and slugged .646 during his redshirt sophomore season, helping his team to a record of 42-15 in 2022.

“It was a fun year, and I had a pretty good year myself,” Hunter said. “I was rewarded for it, but we fell short in the end. We had a great team and a lot of great talent. “
The former draft pick of the Colorado Rockies played two years on the MSD varsity baseball team, where he hit 11 home runs and drove in 45 runs for the Eagles.
