It was another tough week of football for the varsity team at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, who lost on Friday and again on Monday.
The Eagles lost 53-0 against Boca Raton Community High School and then fell 24-15 against Cooper City High School. This game started earlier this month but was postponed due to weather. Jonah Lennamon had a rushing touchdown before the game was halted. Chase Pavlich connected with Johnny Debb for a touchdown before Pavlich ran in the two-point conversion, but MSD fell to 0-5.
The Eagles previously lost to Cypress Bay, Deerfield Beach, and Boyd H. Anderson High School. They will be back in action for a game against Coral Glades on Friday, October 4, at 7 p.m. MSD won the only meeting last year, while the Jaguars have only one victory this season.
The junior varsity team is 2-1 this year, coming off a win against Coing Springs High School, 9-6. The Eagles will play Monarch High School in their next game on October 16 at 5:30 p.m.
