
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Wrestling Team. {MSD Wrestling}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas wrestling team earned second place out of 15 teams at the Coral Springs Duals on January 9 -10.
“We had a good meet, and our wrestlers did well. Now we are preparing for the upcoming district competition,” said coach Kenny Gendason.
The Eagles have a 17-3 record and have won against local teams. They lost in the championship match to a strong Olympic Heights team.
Top performers at the duals for the Eagles included Joe Tuso, 144 pounds, who was 5-0. Jacob Balk, 150 pounds, was 5-0, and Joshua Lopez, 157 pounds, was 5-0.
Team captain Keegan Lake, 165 pounds, was 4-1. “Our team has really done well, and we motivate each other. I have a passion for wrestling,” said Lake.
