Parkland Basketball Club Offers Discounted Registration Fee Until October 24

To boost participation and ensure all aspiring young basketball players get their shot on the court, the Parkland Basketball Club has extended the registration deadline for its 2023/2024 season.

The Parkland Basketball Club has announced it will extend registration and the discounted early bird fee for the upcoming season to October 24. The discounted registration fee is $170 for those who sign up by the extended deadline, $30 off the fee that will increase to $200 after October 24, with registration closing on October 31.

The club accepts boys and girls in grades K-12 of all skill levels to participate in the program as long as their parents register before the cut-off date.

Individuals outside the City of Parkland are also invited to join the club. To do so, they must purchase a Non-Resident Sports Membership during registration, a pass that ensures young players from neighboring areas can be part of the basketball community.

Player evaluations for the upcoming season will be determined, and practice will begin in early December. Participants can expect up to two weekly practices, usually on Sunday afternoons and one weeknight.

The regular season and playoffs are set to run from January to March/April, with approximately two games per week. The club follows the Broward County Schools calendar, which does not accommodate private school calendars, ensuring that school commitments don’t clash with basketball activities.

All practices and games will be held at Pine Trails Park and Terramar Park.

For those adults who wish to contribute to the club, the Parkland Basketball Club is also looking for coaches. Anyone who registers as a head coach or an assistant coach must complete a background check through the City of Parkland.
