Attempted Residential Burglary
May 28, ~2:00–3:08 a.m., Parkland
Two masked suspects used a garage-door clicker taken from an unlocked vehicle to enter a home’s garage while four residents were inside. An alarm sounded, and the suspects fled northwest. Nothing was stolen and no one was hurt.
Assist Other Agency — Medical
May 28, 9:32 a.m., Parkland
CPR was performed on an unresponsive elderly woman, who was then taken to Northwest Medical Center by Rescue 42.
Trespassing

A homeowner reported that an unknown person ran through a neighbor’s yard and briefly entered his open garage. Nothing was disturbed or taken.

Deputies documented a dispute involving a family-owned business.

May 30, 10:19 p.m., University Drive roundabout, Parkland
A juvenile riding an electric bicycle northbound in the southbound lane hit a curb and crashed. Fire-Rescue treated the rider for minor injuries.

A report was filed regarding threatening posts made online.
Property Damage — Garbage-Can Fire
May 31, 9:14 p.m., State Road 7 & Regency Lakes Blvd.
A bus-stop trash can caught fire and melted; deputies believe a discarded cigarette was the accidental cause.

A juvenile girl who tumbled partway down a staircase was taken to North Broward Medical for evaluation; no serious injuries reported.

A resident reported driveway pavers were damaged overnight, possibly by a tow truck.
Baker Act

A disoriented adult woman was taken to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health under the Baker Act. Three cats found in her vehicle were turned over to Broward Animal Control, and the car was towed.
Fraud — ACH Theft
April 24 – 29 (reported June 2), Parkland
Business owners discovered unauthorized ACH withdrawals totaling $7,701.96 from their company account.
Arrests
Chase Jonathan Edward Bourdeau, 27 — Charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (domestic violence) in Parkland on May 28, 2025.
