Incidents
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
Date: Jan. 20
Location: 7800 block of NW 112th Way
A stolen 2025 Mercedes was located parked and unoccupied. Investigation determined the vehicle had been legally rented the prior day. The rental company authorized the vehicle to remain with the driver. No arrests were made.
Abandoned Vehicle
Date: Jan. 20
Location: 11600 block of W. Hillsboro Blvd.
Deputies responded to an abandoned golf cart found on the roadway shoulder. With no identifying information available, the cart was towed for safety.
Fraud / Cryptocurrency Scam
Date Reported: Jan. 20 (incident occurred Jan. 17)
Location: Parkland
A victim reported being contacted by someone posing as a representative of a cryptocurrency company and was defrauded of Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings.
Estimated loss: $1,485,204.
Threat Assessment Report
Date: Jan. 20
Location: Parkland
A behavioral threat assessment involving students was completed and determined to be low risk. The case was closed.
Burglary – Structure
Date Reported: Jan. 20
Location: Parkland construction site
A water pump was reported stolen from a locked and fenced storage area at a construction site.

Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
Date: Jan. 20
Location: Parkland
Deputies responded to a verbal dispute during a child exchange. Video review showed no criminal act. Parties were provided information on obtaining a restraining order.

A victim reported being pushed during a family argument. The victim declined prosecution and requested documentation and restraining order information.
Burglary – Residence
Date: Jan. 20
Location: Parkland
A contractor reportedly entered an unauthorized room and temporarily took a clothing item. The item was recovered.
Estimated loss: $29.
Missing Person (Endangered)
Date: Jan. 21
Location: Parkland / Coral Springs
An endangered adult female with a prior brain injury was reported missing after driving without her phone. Missing Persons Unit was notified.
Theft From Building
Date: Jan. 23
Location: Parkland public facility
A fire extinguisher was reported missing from a restroom building.
Estimated loss: $100.
Lost Property
Date: Jan. 23
Location: Parkland
A resident reported losing his wallet while making food delivery stops in the city.
Injury Incident
Date: Jan. 26
Location: Parkland
A worker fell from a roof onto concrete, suffering head and shoulder injuries. He was transported as a trauma alert and listed in critical but stable condition.
