Farm Equipment Incident – 10/07
Farm equipment struck road barricades. The project engineer and equipment owner agreed that the barricades would be put back in place. The tractor was relocated without further issue.
Student Incident at Somerset Parkland Academy – 10/08
An information report was generated regarding an incident involving a 3rd-grade student. No criminal activity reported.
Civil Matter – Property Retrieval – 10/11
Deputies stood by while a caller collected personal items from a residence. Ongoing civil dispute; no crime.
Bicyclist vs. Driver Disturbance – Publix Plaza – 10/13
A bicyclist and a driver exchanged words after a near collision at a stop sign. Both parties were agitated and requested documentation only.
Domestic / Disturbance
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime) – 10/07
Deputies responded to a disconnected call between a boyfriend and girlfriend. No injuries or weapons involved. The female left the residence voluntarily.
Suspicious Activity
Social Media Documentation – 10/08
A report was made to document comments made on Instagram profiles. Profiles appeared AI-generated, and ages could not be verified. Logged for information only.
Lost Property
Lost Passport – 10/08
A reporting party lost his daughter’s Brazilian passport while walking. The passport could not be entered into the databases as it was lost, not stolen.
Baker Act
Resident Baker Acted – 10/10
Deputies responded to a facility regarding a violent/aggressive resident. The individual was transported under the Baker Act to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health.
Burglary
City of Parkland Maintenance Facility – 10/12
Four John Deere UTV side-by-side vehicles and keys to a rental water truck were stolen from a maintenance facility. An auto theft affidavit was signed.
Theft
Publix – Cart Thrown from Bridge – 10/12
Unknown suspects stole a Publix shopping cart and pushed it over a bridge, nearly striking a vehicle. No suspects or cameras. Publix signed a theft affidavit.
Fraud
$62,000 Bank Fraud – 10/09 (Reported 10/11)
Victims received a call believed to be from their bank regarding a charge. They later discovered their account had been drained of $62,000.
Arrests
No arrests were reported in this bulletin period.
