Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through July 18, 2022.
Battery
NW 68th Dr.
On 07/12/2022, a man shoved two people he knew during an argument. He was taken into custody by deputies and transported to the main jail.
Burglary Building
Parkland Bay Tr.
On 07/15/2022, deputies responded about a Burglary Structure at a construction site. The site manager advised he left the uncompleted home and returned to find multiple appliances missing. Items taken were a gas stove top, stove hood, and a double oven. The estimated value of all items is $3,675.

Trails End
On 07/16/2022, someone shattered the front passenger window of the victim’s car and stole her purse from inside. Tot. Est. Loss: $80.
Criminal Mischief
On 07/17/2022, the suspect allegedly vandalized the victim’s car by throwing a potted plant at the windshield, causing the windshield to shatter. The victim did not see the suspect commit the act of vandalism, but the suspect was on the scene near the vehicle when the victim arrived home. The two had just been in a physical altercation in Pompano Beach.
Fraud

On 07/18/2022, a man was the victim of fraud. Tot. Est. Loss: $100,000.
Information
NW 121st Way
On 04/29/2022, a woman stated she received a card in the mail that was torn open and that $50 in cash was missing. Another card containing a $50 check was never delivered. She contacted USPS, which is investigating.
Emerald Ave.
On 07/14/2022, deputies responded to an accident with injuries with no property damage. One minor was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to her right leg, while all others denied having injuries. All parents were notified, and all juveniles later left scene with their respective parents. The golf cart was removed from the area by the owner.

NW 73rd Ct.
On 07/15/2022, the victim alleged that a man crashed his vehicle into his garage door while pulling into the driveway to deliver food.
Theft
Hillsboro Blvd.
An unidentified business was the victim of theft on 07/17/2022 when an unknown male grabbed a shopping cart and put two cordless vacuums and two power inverters into the cart. He then exited the rear emergency exit door without paying for the items. Total loss was $1,540.
Arrests
Hall, Brian Patrick, 72, was arrested for Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Viocharges l on Nw 68th Dr on 07/13/2022.
