Parkland Dash {City of Parkland}
Lace up — registration for the annual Parkland Dash is now open.
The annual Parkland Dash will once again take place on Sunday, October 12, at Pine Trails Park, beginning at 7:00 a.m., and includes three distance options for participants of all ages and abilities: a 5K (3.1 miles), a 5-mile race, and a 1-mile fun run/walk.
This year’s Dash will benefit RUN 4 BEIGEL, an initiative of the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underserved and at-risk youth affected by gun violence.
The fund honors the legacy of Scott J. Beigel, a beloved teacher and cross-country coach at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who heroically lost his life protecting students during the 2018 school shooting tragedy.
RUN 4 BEIGEL raises money to send children to summer sleep-away camps, providing them with a safe, healing, and empowering environment in which to grow and thrive.
Registration for the Parkland Dash opened June 4 and will remain open until October 11.
Interested participants can register online at www.cityofparkland.org/dash.
