Parkland’s own Jack Rostock capped off an impressive high school baseball career with two dominant performances, including a complete-game shutout in the State Semifinals for North Broward Prep.
The senior closed out his final season in style, tossing a complete-game shutout against South Sumter High School while allowing just four hits and needing only 80 pitches. Earlier in the postseason, Rostock also delivered another complete-game shutout in Game 1 of the Regional Final, surrendering only five hits.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better last high school start,” Rostock said. ” I definitely felt the adrenaline of being in the state semifinals for the first time. My defense had my back all game long and the offense got runs on the board early in the game which helped a lot.”
” I was in control the whole game, throwing pitches where I wanted them and forcing weak contact where my defense was there to make the plays.”
Rostock finishes his high school career with a 16-4 record, tying a school record for wins with Mateo Gray. After winning seven games as a junior with a 1.86 ERA, he added nine more victories during his senior season while posting a 2.23 ERA. Over 115 career innings pitched, he recorded 140 strikeouts and established himself as one of the top pitchers in the area after recently being named 3A–12 District Pitcher of the Year.
Rostock is committed to continuing his baseball career at NC State University and will also be eligible for the 2026 MLB Draft. He plans on attending some pre-draft workouts as multiple teams have expressed interest in the young right hander.
Rostock was also invited to play in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Game later this month at Stetson University.
