BCAA All-Star Flag Football Game. {BCAA}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student-athletes were well represented at the BCAA All-Star Game following another incredible spring season.
The softball team featured Myah Boleen and Kaitlin Enright. Boleen, who also competed in the Home Run Derby, had a sensational senior season, batting .435 with a team-high four home runs and 30 RBIs. She is set to continue her career at Parrish University.
Enright starred both in the circle and at the plate, winning nine games as a pitcher while also leading the team with a .507 batting average. MSD advanced to the District Final and reached the Regional Tournament after winning 15 games this season.
The flag football team featured three players: AB Puccio, Mickayla Sugrano, and Alina Caravello. Puccio emerged as one of the top quarterbacks in the state, throwing for 3,189 yards and 55 touchdowns while also rushing for 200 yards and another score.
Sugrano hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions from Puccio, but truly stood out on defense, recording a team-high 69 flags pulled along with 10 interceptions and a sack. Caravello added 48 flags pulled, nine sacks, and an interception as the Eagles reached the Regional Final following a 14-4 season.
The boys’ volleyball team was represented by Stan Sacaría after a season in which MSD earned impressive victories over Boyd H. Anderson, Piper, and Coral Springs High School. While the baseball team did not have any participants in the All-Star Game, the Eagles were busy putting together another historic postseason run, capturing their sixth straight State Championship.
