The Greater Broward Pap Corps received a $10,350 donation Friday from People 4 People Philanthropy during a check presentation at the Four Seasons of Parkland.
People 4 People Chairperson Bini Litwin presented the check to the co-presidents of Greater Broward Pap Corps, Linda Browdy and Robin Bonchick. The funds will support cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
The Pap Corps, Champions for Cancer Research, is one of the largest grassroots fundraising organizations in South Florida, with more than 50 chapters and more than 22,000 members. Since its founding, the organization has raised more than $110 million for cancer research.
The donation was generated through “The Day of Play,” held Nov. 9 at Four Seasons in Parkland and hosted by the People 4 People Philanthropy Club. The event drew about 100 participants and featured brunch, raffle prizes, an auction, and an evening Texas Hold ’em tournament.
