The Marjory Stoneman Douglas baseball team had yet another commitment with Reid Dadic heading to Daytona State College.
“It felt great to accomplish my dream of playing baseball in college,” Dadic said. “ I’ve been working toward this goal since I started playing baseball.”
Dadic began playing baseball when he was three with the Little Sluggers at the Coral Springs gymnasium. He then played with North Springs Little League until he was 12 and also began competing with the Original Florida Pokers.
Dadic played Middle School baseball at Coral Springs Charter and then transferred to MSD for this upcoming season. He went 3-0 on the mound and pitched to an ERA of 3.37 while also hitting two high school home runs. Dadic has driven in 25 runs while also hitting three doubles and two triples.
For College, Dadic wanted to find the right fit in terms of getting good coaching that would help me develop as a player and the opportunity to earn playing time as a freshman. With Dadic only starting to pitch, he hopes to continue learning and feels he has the right coaches to help him develop before going on to play for a team that won 14 games at the junior college level.
