Safe Schools For Alex, a nonprofit organization founded in honor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting victim Alex Schachter, is hosting a Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
The event, which takes place from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Diadem Pickleball Complex in Coconut Creek, will provide a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising—all in the name of safer schools.
Following a ladder-style doubles format, the players will be matched based on skill level. There are no age or gender restrictions, and individuals are encouraged to sign up solo—ideal for both experienced players and beginners looking to try something new while supporting a meaningful cause.
The fee is $100 per player. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Safe Schools For Alex’s mission to provide up-to-date school safety resources and best practices to students, parents, school districts, and law enforcement nationwide.
