{Not My Daughter Find a Cure Now.}
The 16th Annual Not My Daughter…find a cure now! Shopping Boutique and Luncheon will return Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at the Fort Lauderdale-Coral Springs Marriott at Heron Bay.
This year’s “Sweet 16” celebration promises to be the most memorable yet.
The event begins with a boutique shopping experience from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring more than 40 vendors offering accessories, gourmet items, and other goods. A luncheon will follow at noon, highlighted by an appearance from “Today” show celebrity chef and wellness expert Joy Bauer, who will share insights on healthy living.
Founded by local mothers, the nonprofit has grown into a community fixture with a mission to support breast cancer patients, fund lifesaving research, and protect future generations from a diagnosis.
“It’s the sweet 16 for Not My Daughter…find a cure now!” said founder and president Denyse Hostig. “We have so much that we have accomplished over the years, and are so grateful for the incredible support of the community. Our inspiration is the NMD Teens who represent our goal to eliminate this disease before it ever touches the next generation.”
Proceeds benefit the Not My Daughter Support Center at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Plantation, which provides psychological and supportive care for patients. The organization also funds research to identify and support “pre-vivors,” individuals genetically predisposed to breast cancer.
“This event is about more than raising money — it’s about raising hope,” said co-chair and co-founder Jody Sternfield. “We come together to celebrate, to care, and to imagine a future free from breast cancer.”
