Winter break is coming, and parents looking to keep their children off their iPads are in luck.
The camps run from Tuesday, December 27, through Friday, January 6, with no camp on Monday, January 2, or that weekend.
Here are the camps led by the city of Parkland for elementary school kids K-5.
City of Parkland Winter Camp
Takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. $260 for Parkland residents and $312 for non-residents. Campers will go on a different trip each day, including going to the movies, Urban Air, Miami Children’s Museum, and more.
5678 Dance Winter Camp
Takes place from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m, $300 for Parkland residents and $360 for non-residents. Kids who attend this program experience different dance genres, including hip-hop, jazz, and ballet, while learning dance and playing games.
Kingdom Basketball Winter Camp
Takes place from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m, $275 for Parkland residents and $330 for non-residents. Children will learn the fundamentals of basketball with training activities such as horse, 3 on 3, and knock-out.
Registration
Registration begins Monday, November 28. Register at rec.cityofparkland.org.
Parkland winter camps are held at the P-Rec Center at 10559 Trails End, Parkland, FL 33076.
