The Parkland Library announces the ‘King Richard’ screening as their choice for Movie Matinee and Nibbles during Black History Month.
The biographical sports drama film tells the story of Richard Williams, the father of famous tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, and how he helped his daughters become icons of the sport.
Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, “King Richard” features Will Smith, Saniyya Sidney, and Demi Singleton, among others.
The event is on Monday, February 6, at 2 p.m. in the main library meeting room in the Parkland library, located at 6620 N. University Drive.
Registration for the showing can be found here. A Parkland library card is required to sign up for the event, and space may be limited. You will be notified through email if you have been placed on a waiting list for this event.
