Marjory Stoneman Douglas' Todd Fitz-Gerald Wins High School Baseball Coach of the Year

Marjory Stoneman Douglas Todd Fitz-Gerald was officially awarded High School Baseball Coach of the Year.

“It’s a great honor, but it’s a program award that wouldn’t be here without the players and amazing coaching staff,” Fitz-Gerald said. “They deserve the glory, not me.”

Fitz-Gerald led the Eagles to their third straight State and National Championship this year with a perfect 29-0 record. As a team, MSD hit .337 with 35 home runs, and the pitching staff had an ERA of .79.

This past season, all eight of Fitz-Gerald’s seniors have signed to play college baseball, while he already has several more underclassmen committed. He will look to lead the Eagles to their fourth straight championship in the spring of 2024.
