The commission debate presented by the Parkland HOA Presidents’ Council was held Tuesday night, and for residents who missed it, we have it in its entirety.
Candidates for commission include:
District 1: Simeon Brier, Denise DellaPolla, William Reicherter, and Alexander Zand.
District 2: Jordan Isrow and Derek Olivier.
District 4: Vice Mayor Bob Mayersohn and Robert Brannen.
Moderated by Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School AP Government teacher, Jeff Foster, he asked the candidates about the Pine Tree road issues, would the city pay to pave roads in gated communities, the future of the Heron Bay golf course, publicly disclosing campaign contributions, BSO, Gator Acres, adding retail and increasing Parkland’s tax base.
According to Ken Webster of Parkland Isles, the Parkland HOA Presidents’ Council is a nonpartisan group. Their presidents represent nine communities, including Parkland Isles, Heron Bay, MiraLago, Town Parc, Parkland Golf & Country Club, The Landings, Whittier Oaks, Cypresshead, and Parkside Estates. All communities are invited. Send an email to join.
