Parkland resident Bill Reicherter has announced his candidacy for city commission District 1.
A proud father, and business owner, Reicherter, has lived in the Osprey Lakes community in Heron Bay for 16 years and said he values the caring, unique community of Parkland, balanced with the need for a smart community infrastructure.
He is focused on using his experience in business and construction development to facilitate the continued community unity of Parkland while building a smart infrastructure to accommodate the growing needs of residents and to support local businesses.
At the age of 10 years old in Long Island, New York, Reicherter began going to work with his father. As he grew up, he continued to work with him, learning a lot about business, but more importantly, the value of hard work.
His father’s cancer worsened; and Reicherter returned home to take care of his parents after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
A couple of years went by, and he welcomed his children Amanda, Francesca, and Rocco into the world as a proud dad. Currently unmarried, Reicherter has a girlfriend.
“The lessons learned from my life experience of working tirelessly, growing a business, taking care of employees and serving others has created life-long values,” he said.
As the CEO of three companies, Priority 1 Protection Products, Priority 1 Disinfectant, and Lunasphere, Reicherter has worked on many projects, including the new Hard Rock Stadium, and solar panel signs for FPL floating in the Everglades.
In addition, he is the founder of two companies supplying personal protective equipment products to businesses and citizens, which were formed amid the outbreak to get PPE and hand sanitizer to those who need it at the lowest price possible.
He also started an organization focused on providing more green energy solutions to the electric vehicle industry.
Reicherter spent the first third of his life learning by working with his father, as well as collaborating with others. The next third of his life, earning a living by working day and night in a wide variety of business ventures finding both success and obstacles he learned from along the way and building a passion for supporting other business owners.
He said he values the caring, special community of Parkland, balanced with the need for smart community infrastructure and is focused on using his experience in business & construction development to facilitate the continued community unity of Parkland while building a smart infrastructure to accommodate the growing needs of residents and to support local businesses.
Reicherter believes one of his greatest leadership qualities is listening and putting a strategic plan in place. He looks forward to responding to Parkland residents’ needs — which he believes is the core mission of the Parkland Commission.
Some of these priorities are community safety after hearing the needs of residents, especially amidst Covid-19. He said he has a vast understanding of his PPP companies and wants to facilitate a safe Parkland.
He also wants to make sure Parkland grows in a sustainable way that makes sense for the growing residents’ needs and wishes. His construction and development background will provide valuable insight towards eco-friendly options as well he stated.
As a fellow business owner, Reicherter is committed to supporting local Parkland owners’ needs for rebuilding due to Covid-19 and future growth. His vision is to create vibrant community spaces that encourage residents and provides a stimulating opportunity for Parkland businesses.
