The Marjory Stoneman Douglas (MSD) Eagle Battalion continues to enjoy success.
The MSD Female Raiders came in second place overall at the Florida State JROTC Raider Championships on November 15. “It was such a close finish, and there was only a one-point difference between us and first,” said Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anders, Senior Army Instructor.
More than 90 school JROTC teams participated, and the MSD team earned first place in the relay and the 5K team run. The Eagles took second place in the one rope bridge, second place in the one-mile litter carry, and second place in the fitness challenge.
“Placing second at the state competition was the result of their dedication, teamwork, and hard work. The team continues the MSD JROTC tradition of winning, and with a large number of cadets returning next year, we stand ready to keep it going,” said Anders.
