The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between November 4 and November 10, 2025. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement.
INCIDENTS
Threat Assessments — Riverglades Elementary
Two threat assessment reports were completed on Oct. 29 after the assistant principal determined both incidents were low-level concerns. No full behavioral assessment was required per Broward Schools policy. Reported Nov. 4.
Information — Ongoing Civil Dispute
A tenant contacted BSO multiple times in a civil matter involving her landlord. Deputies warned her not to continue making false reports after she refused to return home during an investigation.
Recovered Property — Stolen License Plate
A Publix employee found a Florida tag, which was later confirmed as stolen out of Coral Springs. The tag was recovered and entered into evidence.
Information — Verbal Dispute Over Dog Barking
A woman reported believing a neighbor threatened to shoot her dog after he yelled for her to quiet it down. Deputies resolved the misunderstanding.
Lost Property — Dollar Tree Plaza
A man reported losing his wallet in the Dollar Tree parking lot on Hillsboro Boulevard. He was unable to locate it after returning later that day.
Theft — Fraudulent Mobile Deposits ($34,000)
A victim reported two stolen checks totaling $34,000 that were fraudulently deposited via mobile banking. Suspect unknown.
Information — Therapist Call
A resident reported that her autistic adult son made insulting statements to a therapist by phone. No threats or Baker Act criteria were found.
Threat Assessment — Park Trails Elementary
A student threat assessment was completed at Park Trails Elementary on Nov. 6. No criminal offense.
Battery — Neighbor Dispute
An argument between neighbors escalated to one striking the other with an open hand. An NTA was issued for battery.
Information — Tire Marks at Pine Island/Holmberg
A crossing guard reported tire tracks on the grass near a sign. No damage was found.
Information — Shopping Cart Incident at BJ’s
A man believed he was intentionally struck by a shopping cart. Video showed the contact was accidental and minor.
Auto Theft — 2013 Toyota Tacoma
A delayed report revealed a Toyota Tacoma stolen from behind a business between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. The towing company had no record of removal. Vehicle entered as stolen.
Information — Custody Concerns
A woman reported child-custody concerns involving her son and the child’s father. Deputies determined no crime occurred.
Domestic Disturbance (Non-Crime)
A woman sought advice at the station following a verbal argument with her boyfriend. No criminal offense.
Burglary Conveyance (Attempted)
Two suspects were seen pulling door handles in a residential area. They fled before deputies arrived. No property was taken, and no entry was made. Victim declined charges.
Property Damage — Heron Bay
A cyclist struck the gate arm at Heron Bay, causing minor injuries and damage. Photos were taken.
Property Damage — Car Wash
Multiple vehicles were damaged when a car came off a conveyor track at a car wash. No injuries. Footage requested from the business.
Information — Trespassing Complaint
A caller reported a trespasser in a complex, but deputies were unable to locate the subject.
Theft — Tenant Damages Cameras ($330)
A woman reported that her tenant knocked down multiple home surveillance cameras. The suspect received a Notice to Appear.
Baker Act — Adult Female
Deputies responded after parents reported their adult daughter was acting erratically, damaging property, and not taking medication. She met Baker Act criteria and was transported for evaluation.
Fraud — Online Scam
A woman was persuaded by a dating-site contact to purchase a phone for activation, then later received an email demanding $5,000 in Bitcoin.
Lost Property — University Drive
A lost property report was taken on Nov. 9 at 6650 University Drive.
