
Seniors from the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Girls Soccer Team. {MSD Soccer}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School soccer programs celebrated Senior Night on Monday, as both teams closed out their regular seasons.
The boys’ soccer team honored seniors Alessandro Rocha, Juan Batista, Renato Alcoforado, Ethan Winter, Aquiles Yibirin, Anthony Carnuccio, and Liam Ulinski before delivering a dominant 5-0 victory over Charles W. Flanagan High School.
MSD followed that performance with a 1-0 win against Monarch High School on Tuesday, finishing the regular season with a 9-1-2 record. The Eagles’ lone loss came in their second game of the season against Cypress Bay High School, while ties were recorded against Pembroke Pines Charter and Cooper City High School. MSD now heads into the postseason with strong momentum.
The girls’ soccer team also marked Senior Night by recognizing Mickayla Sugrano, Alexa Jourdan, Patty Leiva, Breanna McWilliams, Natalie Block, Ashley Bean, Alaina Alba, Breanna Gordon, Jackie DeStefano, and Emily Rodriguez. The Eagles played to a 2-2 draw against Charles W. Flanagan High School in the Senior Night matchup.
On Tuesday, MSD fell 3-2 to Spanish River Community High School and finished the regular season with a record of 6-6-2.
