The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) announced on Thursday the release of the newly redesigned University of Florida specialty license plate.
This is the third redesign of the plate since it was first enacted during the 1987 Legislative Session.
As of December 9, there were 92,631 valid registrations for the University of Florida specialty license plate. These plates are available for purchase at tax collector offices and license plate agencies across the state.
Floridians interested in obtaining one of these plates are encouraged to contact their local office prior to visiting to ensure stock is available.
The revenue generated from the sale of the University of Florida specialty license plate is allocated to the university for academic enhancement, including scholarships. This is just one of many specialty license plates offered by the FLHSMV. A complete list of Florida’s specialty license plates can be found here.
