Calling all pet lovers: The City of Parkland has organized a special event for you and your furry friends.
The City of Parkland is set to host the Homes Fur Dogs Expo on Saturday, May 18, at the Barkland Dog Park from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Homes Fur Dogs Expo is set to be a fun-filled event with activities for both dogs and their owners. Attendees can look forward to browsing through various local pet vendor stalls, enjoying lively music, and even getting a unique caricature of their furry friends.
For those considering expanding their furry family with a new four-legged member, local dog adoption agencies will be present to help you find the perfect companion.
This year’s expo will feature an animal supply collection to benefit Good Karma Pet Rescue. This initiative aims to support the rescue’s ongoing efforts in providing care and finding homes for needy animals.
The supply collection wishlist includes the following:
- Wet and dry dog and puppy food, preferably Purina One.
- Dry and wet cat food, with preferred brands being Purina One, Fancy Feast, and Friskies.
- Wet and dry kitten food, preferably Purina One or Fancy Feast.
- Various types of cat litter, including clumping and non-clumping clay and Feline Pine.
- Puppy pads and cat litter boxes.
- Dog and cat treats.
- Collars and leashes.
- Toys and scratchers for dogs and cats.
- Pet beds and clean towels and bedding.
- 13- and 55-gallon garbage bags.
- Cleaning supplies like paper towels and Nature’s Miracle.
- Laundry supplies such as Arm & Hammer or Tide detergent and bleach.
- Metal dog crates and plastic carriers for dogs and cats.
