The First Annual Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Charity Golf Tournament and banquet will take place on Friday, April 27, at the Country Club of Coral Springs and will include a silent auction open to the public.
The tournament will play through 17 holes to honor the 17 community members that were lost on February 14 and will kick off with a live performance by Shine MSD.
During the tournament there will be a silent auction including: VIP tickets to see Justin Timberlake at the BB&T Center which includes VIP lounge access, early admission, signed tour memorabilia, and tickets in the first 30 rows. Also, signed gear from Lexi Thompson, Greg Norman, Jordan Spieth, Jack Nicklaus, Anthony Rizzo, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mike Napoli, Rickie Fowler and more.
Players, which include local business owners, staff members from MSD, MSD golf team students and local sports celebrities, will enjoy food during the tournament from Sicilian Oven. Banquet and awards ceremony following the tournament boasts food from Runyon’s of Coral Springs, DiSalvo’s Pizza Hollywood, Hometown Foods USA, and Mrs. Wonderful cakes. Cash bar provided.
Funds raised will be distributed to the MSD Alumni Association for recovery projects staff and students, including upcoming summer programs; ShineMSD, an organization formed by MSD Drama students to raise relief funds for victims and their families and heal the Parkland community through the arts; and the individual victim support funds or charitable organizations founded by their survivors in their honor.
