The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Drama Program took center stage at the Florida State Thespian Festival in downtown Tampa from March 19–20, earning top honors, rave reviews, and statewide recognition for its talented student performers and designers.
The highlight of the festival was Douglas Drama’s production of Six!, which played to audiences at the historic Tampa Theatre during two showings on March 19 at 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The musical, a modern retelling of the lives of Henry VIII’s six wives, has been a standout hit in the school’s theater season.
In addition to the mainstage performance, Douglas Drama students excelled in individual and group events at the Tampa Convention Center.
