The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls soccer team is preparing to kick off the 2026 season with one of its key players celebrating a college commitment.
Eleni Andreadakis has officially announced her commitment to Saint Michael’s College, where she will continue her academic and athletic career at the next level.
“Being committed is something I’m very proud of and grateful for,” Andreadakis said. “Right before getting an offer, I unfortunately faced a serious knee injury. Although I thought I was going to be out for a while, I recovered quickly, and Coach Wendy from Saint Michael’s College offered me a spot on her team after watching me play in my first game back.”
Andreadakis began playing soccer at four years old while also participating in gymnastics. She eventually stepped away from soccer to pursue competitive gymnastics, then returned to the field at seven after watching her older sister play.
After one year of recreational soccer, Andreadakis moved into travel soccer and has since competed for several organizations, including Parkland Soccer Club, Sunrise Sting, Sunrise Surf and Team Boca.
Andreadakis played a key role for the Eagles last season, helping the team record nine wins. MSD won their eight straight District Championship along with its opening game of Regionals.
Despite having the first game of her senior season postponed, Andreadakis is set to return to action on Tuesday, November 10, when the Eagles face Monarch High School at 6 p.m.
