The Marjory Stoneman Douglas finished their first two wins of the season, defeating Cooper City High School on Monday and Boyd H. Anderson High School on Friday.
The Eagles played nearly three quarters before they were postponed on Monday. The game did not resume, and MSD was granted a 20-10 win with Zion Meunch scoring two rushing touchdowns while Anthony Diaz also had one. MSD then beat Boyd H. Anderson High School 20-9. Jaxon Anger got the scoring going with a touchdown pass to Anthony Diaz. Jonah Lenaman added one to make it 13-9 before Johnny Debs scored the team’s third touchdown of the game.
The Eagles are now 2-2 and will play Boca Raton Community High School on Friday, September 26, at 6 p.m. The Bobcats dropped their opening game of the season, but have responded with three straight wins while also defeating the Eagles 53-0 in the lone matchup a season ago.
