Marjory Stoneman Douglas Girls Golf Team Begins Season With Win over Pompano Beach

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls golf team opened the season with a victory, defeating Pompano Beach High School by 16 strokes at Pompano Golf Course.

Andiara Raton led the Eagles with a round of 38. Cooper Aucoin finished third overall after shooting a 42, while Ella Thompson placed fifth with a 45. The match also featured a career-best round from Delila Mamane, who finished fourth on the team and eighth overall. Celeste Thomas, Dan and Daniella Rudabovich also competed for MSD in the season opener.

Next, the Eagles will face Coral Glades on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Parkridge Golf and Country Club.
