As summer approaches, many parents are deciding what to do with their children. We believe summer camp is an experience all kids should have, so we’ve compiled a list of options throughout the area to serve as your guide.
City of Parkland Camps at the P-REC

Kingdom Training Summer Basketball Camp

5678 Dance Camp
A full-day dance camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including classes in jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop, cheer, acrobatics, lyrical and musical theater. Weekly sessions are available, starting at $250 for residents and $265 for non-residents, with discounts for longer sessions. Parkland Travel Camp at Westglades Middle School

Kids Camp at the P-REC
Children as young as 5, will participate in a variety of themed sessions at Kids Camp, with two field trips and special activities taking place each week. Children may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m., with before and after care included. Weekly prices start at $220 for residents and $260 for non-residents, with discounts for multiple weeks. 2019 Athletic Republic Sports Camp
Children ages 7 to 14 will participate in basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, speed and agility training and more. Weekdays starting on June 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with aftercare available. Weekly prices start at $200 for residents and $240 for non-residents City of Parkland Summercamp
Next Stop Broadway
Kids and teens are invited to star in their favorite films live this summer at Next Stop Broadway Summer Camp which will include four family friendly musicals: Freaky Friday, Shrek, Matilda and Chicago. Presented by the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, this fun, theatrical-based summer camp for children and teens will keep them busy all summer long. Call 954-344-5990 or visit Center for the Arts
Dance Theater Dance Camp & Intensives
Children ages 4 to 7, or 8 to 10 can learn a variety of dances during one day ($60), one week ($250) or three week ($650) sessions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Intensives are taught by higher level instructors, include all forms of dance and are available to Intermediate and advanced dancers, 11 and up. Code Ninjas
Build video games, program drones or create websites, all while learning how to code. Children ages 7 to 14 can choose from a variety of weekly morning and afternoon classes from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for $299 per week, including Minecraft, Roblox and beginning Javascript. ART Paper Scissors
Children starting at age 4 will explore their creativity through art-focused curriculum from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., They will be introduced to a variety of mediums and styles, from paint to mixed media, including games, outdoor activities and more. 6654 Parkside Drive. Parkland International Music Academy
In the Summer Music Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., students ages 5 to 11 participate in a variety of activities designed to teach art, acting, music, choreography and dance. The camp’s activities and show are based on three musicals, where campers will sing songs, design and paint backdrops for their performances. Every three weeks, they will showcase the musical they have prepared during the 3-week season for family and friends. Prices start at $260 per week for early enrollment. Broadway Bound Summer Camp
Calling all performers! Broadway Bound has weekly musical theater sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., where campers will explore a variety of Broadway shows and musicals. There is also a 5-week musical production camp for more serious actors with an end of session show in a professional theatre. Prices start at $250 per week, with pre-care and aftercare available. American Twisters Gymnastics Camp
Children ages 5 (by September 1) and up, can choose from daily or weekly sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. or 6 p.m., starting at $236 per week, with discounts for multiple weeks. Prices include the gymnastics camp session, healthy snack and water each day, arts & crafts, movie time, gymnastics instruction, fun and games. Coral Springs Museum of Art
The Coral Springs Museum of Art continues its tradition of providing budding artists with high quality and exciting studio classes taught by professional artists. Artists ages 6 to 9, 8 to 15, and 12 to 15 can explore a variety of mediums during themed weeks like “Under the Sea” and “Wild Things.” Morning (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and afternoon (9:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.) sessions are available. Cheerleading camp
Girls ages 5 to 12 will enjoy dance, crafts, leadership, modeling, fitness and more. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., campers will participate in different themes each week, including unicorn magic and mermaid party. Early registration is $135 per week, with pre-care and aftercare included. Eagles Landing Camp
For those looking for something more, Eagles Landing has become one of the most popular summer camps in Broward county. Eagles Landing offers options from junior camp, for ages 3 to 5, to day camp, to the night owls, a traditional sleep-away camp experience from Monday through Friday.
