The City of Parkland is inviting the community to its Arbor Day 2024 celebration, which aims to highlight the environmental benefits of trees.
This green gathering is scheduled for Sunday, April 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Farmers’ Market at the Equestrian Center, 8350 Ranch Road.
The city has organized Parkland’s Arbor Day event to help foster a deeper appreciation for trees and their numerous environmental advantages.
Residents are encouraged to engage with city staff in a casual atmosphere while learning about the importance of trees in urban landscapes, their role in air purification and carbon sequestration, and their contribution to enhancing the local quality of life.
In addition to gaining insights into tree care and urban forestry, residents will be treated to an array of Arbor Day SWAG. This year’s giveaways include free plants to encourage at-home planting and custom-designed shirts.
