Incidents
A domestic battery investigation stemming from an April 26 altercation led to the arrest of a husband accused of injuring his wife by pushing against a door she was attempting to close. Both parties suffered minor injuries.
A resident reported that a lawn service hired by a neighbor accidentally broke a window at her home on May 18.
The City of Parkland reported criminal mischief after someone damaged Soccer Field No. 1 at Trails End Park between May 18 and May 19.
Deputies documented an incident involving a student who was injured on a school playground during aftercare and later aggravated the injury after returning to school.
A resident reported two trash bins stolen from his property, with an estimated loss of $200.
A father and son were involved in a domestic disturbance that escalated into a physical altercation. Both suffered injuries, and the father was arrested on domestic battery-related charges.
A woman reported an $825 theft after her black iPhone 16 Pro disappeared from a soccer bag at Pine Trails Park. Efforts to locate the phone through lost and found and surveillance review were unsuccessful.
Deputies arrested a woman following a domestic disturbance investigation in Parkland on May 21.
Coral Springs Parkland Fire Rescue responded to a residential fire after an office chair inside a home caught fire. The blaze was extinguished, and a fire inspector conducted an investigation.
Deputies responded to a mental health crisis involving an armed juvenile threatening self-harm in the Country Pointe Estates community. The juvenile was detained and transported to a hospital under the Baker Act.
A man reported an attempted WhatsApp scam in which an unknown suspect had access to his bank account numbers and a copy of his driver’s license.
An adult male expressing suicidal thoughts following the death of his dog was transported to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health under the Baker Act.
Deputies investigated a missing wallet incident at BJ’s Liquor Store. Investigators determined there was insufficient evidence to classify the case as theft, and the incident was documented as lost property.
A resident reported unauthorized SimpliSafe charges totaling $192 that had allegedly appeared on a credit card statement since November 2024.
Arrests
Omar Maqsood was arrested May 19 on a charge of domestic violence battery.
Brian Celenski was arrested May 20 on a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation.
Omar Maqsood was arrested May 21 on charges including domestic violence assault and domestic violence battery.
Alexandra Nicole Scoler was arrested May 21 on a domestic violence battery charge.
