Incidents
A contractor allegedly took $2,450 from a Parkland resident for home improvement work and failed to complete the job or return calls on May 12.
A BSO patrol vehicle sustained minor damage after striking a large tree branch that fell onto Holmberg Road on May 13. Deputies determined the branch was partially rotten.
A man was hospitalized with eye irritation after another man riding a blue bicycle sprayed an unknown liquid into his face outside a business along State Road 7 on May 13. Surveillance video captured the incident.
An information report was generated at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on May 14.
A man reported losing his wallet at a Wawa gas station on North State Road 7 between May 12 and May 13.
An information report involving a juvenile female was generated at Park Trails Elementary School on May 14.
Family members contacted deputies on May 14 concerned that an elderly woman was being manipulated into giving large sums of money to a former acquaintance. No criminal investigation was initiated pending further consultation with relatives and medical professionals.
Deputies responded to a dispute involving a canceled DoorDash delivery order on May 14. Witnesses said the caller yelled at the delivery driver and blocked her from leaving. No charges were filed.
A loose dog escaped a residential gate and scratched two people while approaching another dog on May 14. No bite injuries were reported.
Deputies documented an information report involving an adult female and an adult male on May 14.
Firefighters extinguished a burning portable toilet near Parkside Drive and Loxahatchee Road early May 15.
Deputies responded to a verbal domestic dispute over finances between a husband and wife on May 15. The husband agreed to temporarily leave the residence.
A Mobile Response Team evaluation was initiated for a student at a school on Nob Hill Road on May 15.
A woman experiencing a mental health crisis was Baker Acted and transported to Northwest Medical Center on May 16.
A Parkland man reported a dispute with his employer after allegedly not receiving two weeks of pay. Deputies referred him to the Department of Labor.
A resident allegedly threatened legal action against the clubhouse and security staff after her name was removed from a community call list on May 15.
A woman was Baker Acted after allegedly jumping from a moving vehicle following an argument with her boyfriend after a bowling alley outing on May 17.
A man was arrested on domestic battery charges after deputies investigated a disturbance in Parkland on May 17.
Children driving a golf cart recklessly damaged a field at Pine Trails Park on May 17.
A 79-year-old man reported missing from Pine Trails Park on May 17 was later found after taking an Uber home.
Two juveniles were captured on surveillance video allegedly damaging hedges inside the Cypress Cay East community on May 16.
Arrests
A suspect, 74, was arrested May 15 on a warrant for battery touch or strike with a $7,500 bond.
A suspect, 61, was arrested May 17 on a charge of domestic violence battery.
