Hector Montalvo {BSO}
A man is accused of sexually battering a woman and threatening to have her deported by ICE if she contacted police, according to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
BSO records show Hector Montalvo, 78, of Parkland, was taken into custody last week following an investigation by the BSO Special Victims Unit after the victim sought medical and mental health assistance and disclosed what authorities describe as a pattern of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Records show the assaults took place at Montalvo’s home, located near the 6200 block of Northwest 108th Way.
According to investigators, the victim reported multiple incidents that occurred over several months, including unwanted sexual contact and physical abuse. She told detectives she was repeatedly warned not to contact law enforcement and was threatened with deportation if she attempted to seek help.
The victim claims Montalvo told her on numerous occasions, “the police will not believe you,” and if she reported the sexual assaults, he “would call ICE and have her deported.”
Deputies were first alerted after the victim came to a medical facility requesting assistance and disclosed ongoing abuse. Detectives later obtained a statement in which she detailed several incidents that allegedly occurred, as well as controlling and intimidating behavior that left her fearful of reporting Montalvo sooner.
The victim also described being monitored and tracked, including receiving notifications of a possible tracking device placed on her vehicle, which she said heightened her fear to come forward.
Records indicate the victim claimed on multiple occasions that Montalvo inserted his finger in her vagina so hard and with such a “pinching” sensation that the acts caused her to bleed. The victim also claimed that Montalvo used his fingers in most of the assaults because he was unable to sexually perform otherwise.
Court records indicate Montalvo faces multiple felony charges related to sexual battery as well as a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. He is being held pending a first appearance before a judge.
